NEW KITS IN THE SHOP!!!

I'm excited to finally share a few new kits with you today.
They are already up in my shop if you really want to go check them out, otherwise maybe they'll inspire you to create a little {almost} December magic!

I haven't added a new word in a few months, so this one is indeed over due!
I'm really liking it, the colors are just fun and that ornament came out better than I was hoping for.
Because it's so close to December I'm only offering 10 of these. They are cut and ready to go so that you'll have them in time to enjoy them this season.
Check this set out HERE

And I've got two new blockheads to add to my list today...and one more tomorrow!
Up first the big guy himself:

And then his Frosty friend:

So fun! And jolly, I love this time of year!
You can find them both in the shop also.
(and maybe if I get my act together I can get a tutorial together--cross your fingers!)

Hope you like them because you have a chance to win some of them!
Krystal from Sassy Sanctuary is hosting a series of giveaways on
 Thursday, Dec. 1ST!!!

I'm up at 4:00 pm MST and am giving away 5 blockhead kits of your choice so you and a few gal pals can enjoy a winter craft night.

It's a great list of great shops giving away all kinds of great things! Some are even offering discount codes as well, so be sure to check it out. You just may end up with a free gift or two...

Alrighty, I'm on my way to dancing with my 4 yr old but will be back in a bit with today's ornament.
Happy Crafting!

September Blockheads and Word...of the Month Kits!

So the start of school is clearly kicking my bootie!
I've spent the last three days running to and from school, volleyball try-outs, play dates, dentist appointments, activity days, mutual, visiting teaching appointments....what happened to being back in school means peace for mom?
Maybe next week, right?

Anyway, I'm super excited to be sharing a few new blockheads and a new Word...of the Month Kit. I've had a kit done in my head for every month this year, summer just didn't give me the time to actually finished them so this is a bit of a mini victory for me!
(I even have all of October's done too!)

I mentioned a few weeks back that I am SOOOO ready for Fall. I am just aching for cool nights, crisp mornings, and a color other than dead grass! But I fear with all this Texas heat and no end in sight, there will be no fall-so I'm making my own!

This set is cut from 1/2 inch MDF and vary in height from 5 to 6 inches tall.
Set contains four pieces: letters F, L, and L, and an acorn cutout for the "A".
Comes unfinished so you can your choice of color and embellishments.
This set will be in my shop HERE! later today.

The first September Blockhead kit is an autumn must have!
You can't have fall without a little brown owl nested in the trees.
I am loving that this little guy can hang out on my shelf from now all the way through October.

The kit contains the base block, beak, wings, and feet cutouts, as well as paper patterns for the tummy insert and eyes, feathers, and finishing instructions.
Whoo wants one?
Look for the tutorial soon or find the kit in my shop...

And Blockhead #2...

Fall is all about the harvest, and every harvest needs a friend.
This little scarecrow was so fun (and easy) to make and looks so cute nestled in with a bunch of sunflowers and pumpkins.

Kit contains base block, hat, and nose cutouts, raffia bundle, and flower for hat!
As well as paper patterns and finishing instructions. Again, in the shop.

Tutorial will be coming soon...

And speaking of the great fall harvest, I've put this word kit from last year back in my shop (it's still one of my very favorites!!!)...

It's looking a bit more Fall-like already!
Hope you like them, I sure had fun putting them together, along with 8, yes EIGHT, blockheads for October-I'm so excited to share them but am going to sit on them for a bit longer.
Happy Crafting-

APRIL Word...of the Month Kits are Here!!!

I just have to tell you, it's a good thing Easter is at the end of April otherwise I might have missed it! These designs have been floating around in my head for months. The time to get them drawn out and finished was just hard to come by, better late than never, right?
So without any further delay, here they are...

The first word kit comes from my LOVE for a Spring rainstorm.
I love the sound and smell of an April shower... and splashing around in the puddles!

This set is cut from 1/2 inch MDF. The letters are 3 to 5 inches tall, the umbrella stands 7 inches tall, and the little chick is 3 inches tall.
This kit comes unfinished, with all letter pieces (s,p,s,h), L/umbrella handle and top, and chick cutout, paper detail patterns, and finishing instructions.
Set sells for $7.
***I finished this set by painting the letters and adding glitter.
The umbrella and chick are paper covered, kit includes paper covering instructions.***

I love Spring, and I love Easter.
I love the colors returning, the flowers blooming , the birds singing,
and a good old Easter egg hunt!

This Word...of the Month Kit celebrates all of that!
These letters are cut from 1/2 inch MDF and vary from 4 to 8 inches tall.

The kit contains letters E,s,e,r, A/basket cutout, T/rabbit cutout, and heart cutout.
Paper detail patterns and finishing instructions.
This kit arrives unfinished and sells for $12.

***I finished this set with patterned papers. Paper covering instructions are included with this set.***

I have to tell you, I'm loving these blockheads!
My goal with these is to keep them fun and easy to reproduce with common found items,
(and very inexpensive if you need to purchase the kits).
All single blockhead kits sell for $4 each.
I include embellishments where I can, and always include finishing instructions. Plus, you can always find the tutorials here on this site...

What would April be with  out a sweet little spring chick? This kit has you covered!
Kit contains the base 2x4 block (5 inches tall), feet and beak cutouts,
feathers, eye tacks, and finishing instructions.
Sells for $4.

A tisket, a tasket, who needs an Easter basket?

This kit contains the 2x4 base block, basket topper, rope handle, paper to create the woven front, and finishing instructions.
Sells for $4 each.
***How cute would this be filled with a few decorated eggs, or plastic treat-filled ones? What a fun and cute gift for a friend or teacher!***

And last, celebrate the season with three times the fun!
This set simplifies and combines March and April Blockheads to create a great display piece.

The blocks are staggered in height from 4 to 7 inches tall and all cut from a 2x4.
Detail pieces are cut from 1/4 inch MDF.
Kit contains 3 2x4 base blocks, rabbit ears, nose, and whiskers, chick feet, beak, hair feathers, and wings, and egg.
Finishing instructions are included.
Set sells for $10.
(Can you have Easter and not have a chocolate rabbit? I can't!
He looks super cute white or even gray too...)

As always, you can find these items in my shop or just shoot me an email ( wmgar@comcast.net ) for details.
Group pricing is always available!
You qualify by ordering 5+ sets of any one kit. Again email me for pricing and group shipping rates.

Blockhead tutorials will follow soon...

Tuesday Treats featuring...March Word... of the Month Kits!

 Happy February!
It's that time again, time to bring out the new Word...of the Month kits.
{AW-YEAH!}
Please indulge me, I've decided this all works a little better with a bit more time so I've moved up the release dates from the 15th to the 1st. And remember, all kits are sold unfinished so that you can add a bit of you to them.

And we can't forget the Block Heads!
I'm posting both March and April, cause well, they both work for both months.

{I totally forgot to paint his eyes before I took the picture! Whoops!}

I love that Spring brings back all the flowers and color that goes missing during winter.
And as I am not very patiently awaiting the blooming of my tulips, I'm filling in the time with these bright bloomers.
March's set includes both flower pots, 2 flower cutouts, stems, and finishing instructions.
It sells for $6.00
And spring just wouldn't be spring without a bunny or two!
{or a whole bunch more the way those bunnies work!}
April's Block Head set includes the block base, ear and nose cutouts, wire whiskers, and finishing directions.

So "HOP" to it! Springs a coming!
 Again I say {AW-YEAH!}.
